The Table of Sophia emblem

The Table of Sophia

A fellowship of women seeking wisdom, without hierarchy.
A circle for Christian women who want to ask real questions.

A room without a pulpit, where women listen to God & one another.

We gather as sisters — not to perform, not to compete, and not to build another hierarchy — but to pursue Christ, Scripture, and even the texts at the edges, with humility. Every woman brings insight.

How we meet

We meet around a table (literal or not). We read Scripture, sometimes the apocrypha or early writings where helpful, and we test everything. There is no single “leader” voice; facilitation may rotate. We prize charity, clarity, and discernment.

  • 1 Christ-centred, not brand-centred.
  • 2 Women-only space; safe for difficult questions.
  • 3 Open to history, context, and the overlooked.
  • 4 No platforming, no empire-building.

A brief statement of intent

We acknowledge that many churches are closed, over-programmed, or suspicious of women who study and speak.

We are not forming a counter-church. We are recovering the older pattern of believers searching the Scriptures together, testing doctrines, and honouring the Spirit’s work in women.

We will speak with respect about Christ’s body. We will also name abuses of power, dogmatism, and silencing where we’ve experienced them. We will hold disagreement without exile.
